3/29/2024 0 Comments Adjust fov gt legends![]() Too narrow a FOV for your screen means everything is magnified, corners look tighter and elevations are exaggerated. Too wide FOV for your screen means everything looks smaller, corners look shallower, elevation changes shrink, everything is distorted. Often though, because for some reason people are afraid of having screen close to them, this means that the realistic FOV will be quite narrow. ![]() ![]() There's only one mathematically correct field of view for any given rig (assuming your head stays pretty much still), and that FOV makes things that appear on the screen look the same size as they would in real life, as well as very importantly appear in the same direction as they would in real life. These depend entirely on two things: The width of the screen and the distance between the screen and your eyes. If it's in any way usable, I'd always, always, always go for a FOV setting that gives me realistic FOV with the screen that I'm using.
